Capital city Salzburg

The capital city Salzburg is a great destination for a daily trip and offers a plenty of different sights.

You can enjoy Salzburg by bike, by foot, by horse coach, by bus or by boat. It is possible to rent a guide from Salzburg who brings you to all secret places in the city. From the Kapuzinerberg and Mönchsberg you will have a great view over the distinctive architecture and colorful facades of Salzburg. The popular house- mountains are the Gaisberg and Untersberg.

Kitzsteinhorn Kaprun

Wide glacial slopes, fabulous high alpine views and a great variety of winter sports: already in October at 3.000 meters, skiers and snowboarders enjoy open sunny pistes on the Kitzsteinhorn. It is the only glacial skiing area in Land Salzburg and guarantees snow from October until early Summer.

Visitors to the „Gipfelwelt 3000“ experience fascinating high alpine and glacier worlds at close range. They can look over Austria´s highest peaks from the Panorama-Platform „Top of Salzburg“ (3.029 meters), the highest viewing point in Land Salzburg. It seems that untouched glaciers and 3.000m peaks are endless in the neighbouring Hohe Tauern National Park. Krimmler Wasserfälle

The particularly impressive location at the entrance to the valley, the vast volumes of water and an extraordinary waterfall height of 380m over three stages make the Krimml Waterfalls an impressive natural spectacle.
